General Information:
Our closest port of entry into Canada that is also an Agriculture Station is in (Kings Gate, BC) at the top of Idaho just past Sandpoint.

We offer 2-4 quarantines per year depending on demand.  Customers of Elegante Vellon & Snowmass Alpacas will have their animals quarantined at our Cedar City facility for FREE excluding Vet/ Govt/State and Transport Fees.  See all Fees (below).    

NOTE:
Alpine Suri offers this same quarantine service for their customers in Alpine, Utah.  Inquire with us if you purchase Alpine Suri Alpacas. 

FREE service includes the facility for the quarantine.  The extra care, paperwork and help to facilitate the quarantine during this thirty (30) day period.

When:  
Upon purchase of (2) animals at a minimum.

How Many: 
Minimum of two (2).  Maximum of six (6) per quarantine.

Vet/State/Federal Paperwork Fee: 
Customer is responsible for all Vet/State/Federal fees to facilitate this quarantine.

FLAT FEE:  $700 for the 1st animal and $100 for each additional.
                      No Hidden Costs.

Transport Fee:
Elegante Vellon will transport you animals personally for a FLAT RATE of $3,000 per (round trip) to Kings Gate, BC and home.  This is per haul NOT per alpaca.  If we have two customers this fee is split 50-50.  If we max out at six (6) customers the fee is split and brings it down to $500 per customer.  You are also WELCOME to use a transporter of your choice.

It is to the advantage of Canadian and US customers to pool information collectively and plan to reserve and ENTER quarantine as a unit splitting and reducing  individual costs for everyone.  We will adjust costs accordingly as other customers enter each quarantine.

Non-Customer Fee:
Unless your alpaca was purchased from Elegante Vellon, Snowmass or Alpine Suri you will have an additional fee of $500 per alpaca added onto the above costs associated with each quarantine.   

It is the responsibility of each outside owner to get your alpacas to our facility with (prior reservation) confirmed and in PLENTY OF TIME to make the ENTRY date of said quarantine at your expense.

Payment:
Because these quarantines are designed to Export alpacas into another country we must ask for all associated fees to include transport be PAID IN FULL, PRIOR TO ENTRY into each quarantine.   We accept certified funds or Credit Cards.  If paying by credit card please add 3% for US and 4% for Canadian customers. 

Any UNPAID FEES at the time of EXIT will result in the customers alpacas being pulled from the quarantine and remain held until back fees are brought current using said alpaca as collateral. 

NOTE:
Re-entry into a new quarantine begins the entire $500 outside fee again as the quarantine has BEEN BROKEN for that particular alpaca and must be re-started as if new with the entire vet, medical/ paperwork madates begin again from the start.  This is USDA regulations.
